How to Know You’re Saved: Confessing Jesus as Lord

“Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the
Spirit of God says, ‘Jesus be cursed,’ and no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’
except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For
it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your
mouth that you confess and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10).

This confession is not a matter of the mouth only. People
who do not have the evidence of the Holy Spirit say it in liturgies all of the
time.

“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up
in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in
his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45).
