Favorite Verses

Here are a few favorite verses of mine.

“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to
you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,
so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is
the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and
ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine
out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of
the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4-6).

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from
all sin” (1 John 1:7). 

“In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of
Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good
confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the
appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own
time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who
alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen
or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:13-16).
