There are many favorite verses of mine in the Scriptures.
Here are a few of them:

“This is the
message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and
in Him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5).

“But if we walk in
the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

“The god of this
age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of
the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not
preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for
Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his
light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of
God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4-6).

“In the sight of
God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying
before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this
command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the
King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in
unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and
might forever. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:13-16).

“Now to the King
eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and
ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).

“When Jesus spoke
again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me
will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life’” (John 8:12).

This is our proclamation: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
