Examples

“Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from
setting our hearts on evil things as they did…. These things happened to them
as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment
of the ages has come” (1 Corinthians 10:6, 11).

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and
in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).

“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you,
leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps” (1 Peter 2:21).

Bad examples are warnings. Good examples are to be followed
and imitated.
